Robert Huish is Associate Professor in Inter-
national Development Studies at Dalhousie
University. Dr. Huish's research covers a
wide range of topics such as global health,
social justice, and sanctions. Within his
broader research interests on global cosmo-
politanism, he focuses on Cuba's efforts of
solidarity and cooperation, while also focus-
ing on North Korean deception and belliger-
ence. Dr. Huish's recent research explores
how nations like North Korea successfully
circumvent sanctions through deceptive
practices at sea. Dr. Huish is currently a visit-
ing fellow at the Centre for Global Studies at
the University of Victoria. Dr. Huish teaches
several classes on global health and interna-
tional development at Dalhousie University,
and was named one of Canada's most in-
novative educators in the Globe and Mail's
"Our Time to Lead" series. He is the host
of GDP "The Global Development Primer"
Podcast which is available on podcast plat-
forms everywhere.
