SCOTT GREENOUGH
DIRECTOR, MOOSE JAW OPERATIONS,
NFTC & FAcT PROGRAM TRANSITION
CAE DEFENSE & SECURITY
Scott Greenough spent 26 years in the RCAF and
15 of those years were spent flying the F-18 and
other aircraft. Now he is overseeing the most
consequential transformation of RCAF ab-initio
training in a generation.
As CAE's Director of Moose Jaw Operations,
Greenough is managing the live transition from
the NATO Flying Training in Canada (NFTC)
program to the Future Aircrew Training (FAcT)
program. New aircraft have already arrived in
Moose Jaw. Simulation devices are in production.
Infrastructure is being designed from scratch.
The FAcT program is not an upgrade. It is a
ground-up rebuild of Canada's pilot training
ecosystem.
As a former General
Officer told Greenough
when he left the RCAF: his
work in Moose Jaw as a
civilian contractor would
let him continue serving
in a different way. He has
been doing exactly that for
11 years.
