Ian Glenn
"Luck favours
the prepared mind."
ING Robotic Aviation launched its first flight op-
erations for the Canadian Army in Afghanistan
back in 2008. Since then the Ottawa-based
company known for its outstanding work with
drone technology has steadily built its reputa-
tion as one of Canada's leading provider of
robotic aircraft sensing and surveillance solu-
tions to businesses and the military.
Ian Glenn, the company's founder and CEO,
says being an entrepreneur has been described
as "leaping from an airplane, naked, and build-
ing your parachute on the way down." Ian talks
about how he made the leap from hometown
farm boy to being an Army officer and then the
boss of his own company.
