Calian Finalizes Purchase of Mabway, Enhancing Global
Military Training and Simulation Offerings

Calian Group Ltd., a provider of healthcare, communications,
learning, and cybersecurity solutions, announced on May 10
that it has successfully acquired Mabway, a U.K.-based entity.
Mabway is a frontrunner in orchestrating expansive defense
role-play environments, faithfully mirroring real-world op-
erational scenarios, while also offering specialized technical
education for naval and maritime sectors. With a longstanding
history as a key supplier to the British Army since 2012, Mab-
way operates through multiple offices across the U.K., boast-
ing a workforce exceeding 1,000 comprised of former military
personnel and dedicated civilians. Its services extend across
Europe and the Middle East.
Kevin Ford, Calian CEO said: "This acquisition presents a
great opportunity to leverage the capabilities of both com-
panies to provide a more comprehensive range of solutions
to military and defence customers globally. And with the U.K.
looking to increase defence spending to 2.5 per cent of GDP
by 2030, Calian will be well positioned as a strategic partner
supporting their operational readiness."
This acquisition marks a milestone for Calian, amplifying its
footprint within the U.K. and Europe. By integrating Mabway's
expertise, Calian fortifies its suite of military training and sim-
ulation solutions in the region, opening avenues for expanded
global outreach and diversified clientele.
Effective immediately, the acquisition positions Calian to
leverage synergies and deliver enhanced offerings to its cli-
entele worldwide.
