The contract, which includes a complete logistics support package, was facilitated by the Cana- dian Commercial Corporation. The federal government has amended a 2009 contract with Mon- treal-based cae to align training with upgrades to the CC-130J aircraft. The RCAF accepted the fi nal of 17 J-model Hercules from locKheeD martin in May 2012 and is now improving navigation, communication, and maintenance capabilities for the fl eet. As a result, the original contract with CAE – which included a full suite of CC-130J training systems from fl ight simulators to fl ight train- ing devices, procedures trainers, and courseware for the Air Mobility Training Centre at 8 Wing Trenton – has been amended to upgrade the training environment as well. l-3 mas has completed the installation and certifi cation of a Wi-Fi telecommunications system and the delivery of patient transfer units (PTUs) on the CC-150 Polaris aircraft. The Wi-Fi system is simi- lar to systems on other RCAF fl eets. In a release, the companies said the work was completed on time and on budget and included main- tenance to meet marine regulatory requirements and upgrades to various vessel systems from propulsion to navigation. saab microWave canaDa has been awarded an $18.5 million con- tract for the repair and overhaul of the weapon-control radars on- board the RCN's 12 Halifax-class frigates. The contract is part of the Halifax-class modernization project. Victoria's atlas eleKtroniK canaDa has awarded Dartmouth-based ultra electronics maritime systems a $1 million multi-year con- tract to supply high power, low frequency acoustic sonar technol- ogy that will be integrated into Atlas' advanced low frequency active sonars, which have naval customers worldwide.
